Dy CM chairs meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti | KNO

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh, chaired a meeting of governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti Community Health Centre (CHC) Billawar, here today. A threadbare discussion was held on procurements needed for the development of the hospital and providing better healthcare facilities to the patients. Stressing on the need for further improvement in existing healthcare services, Dy CM asked the concerned authorities to work out the actual healthcare requirements in the hospital so that it could be equipped with adequate diagnostic and treatment facilities. Various issues pertaining to recruitment of Eye Surgeon, ENT Surgeon, Orthopedic Surgeon, Pathologist, Physiotherapist and other medical staff, updation of machinery and equipments at Blood Bank, requirement of new ambulance and updation of provincial medical stores, Labour Room/NICU , OPD Block, Dispensary, Laboratory, Ultra Sound and X- Ray instruments, dental equipments, BPMU, DEO NHM section, requirements at provincial medical stores,updation of Operation Theatre/Resuscitation section and other requirements for improving health care facilities were discussed in the meeting. Taking a detailed view of the agenda, Dr Singh approved the essential requirements to improve the functioning of the hospital. He directed the concerned officers to work in synergy to ensure proper utilization of available resources in the interest of patient care. Citing healthcare as the top priority of present dispensation, Dr Singh said government is making determined efforts to provide better basic healthcare facilities to the patients. Dr Singh asked the concerned authorities to put in their dedicated efforts towards patient care besides emphasizing punctuality of medical staff in view of their crucial role towards the health of ailing. Stressing on maintaining cleanliness in the hospital premises, Dy CM said that a clean and hygienic environment is pre requisite for patient care. He said that it is a collective responsibility of the hospital authorities and the people to ensure proper sanitation in the hospital. The members of the Samiti also gave valuable suggestions for improving the functioning of CHC.
